Set on a 700 sq yard plot, this residence houses the families of two brothers on identical floors, yet reads as a single, cohesive home from the outside. The project strikes a fine balance between privacy and togetherness, offering a cohesive living environment with clearly defined personal spaces.
Rooted in strict Vastu principles, the idea was to turn the constraints into opportunities. With no direct light in the central living area, a skylit courtyard was introduced at the core, flooding both floors with natural light.
Even the orientation of beds posed a challenge as it was to be against the window side wall as per vastu. So, we resolved it by designing custom screens in metal and wood against which the bed was placed. These partition screens filtered soft daylight into the room. This also gave us an opportunity to carve out private study nooks behind the partition.

The secondly floor along with the large terrace serves as a gathering space for parties and family events blending private living with shared moments.
