The project involved renovating an existing farmhouse in the locality of Vasant Kunj in New Delhi. The design effort started from the access to the house. The driveway was relocated to the west end of the site, leading to a redesigned entrance foyer.

This also consolidated the front green space into one large garden. Water bodies were introduced in the entrance foyer area, creating a visually appealing experience for the occupants and visitors.

Inside the house, the ground floor was accessed through the entrance foyer, leading to a double-height entrance lobby. The living spaces were seamlessly connected, and a contemporary glass lift and a semi-circular staircase were installed for easy movement between floors. The ground floor featured formal and informal areas, including bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, and a bar lounge. The master bedroom was designed with large sliding doors and windows to maximise natural light and provide a view of the green backyard.

The washrooms were upgraded by integrating them with attached landscaped courtyards and allowing large amount of natural light with switch glass. The living room has switch glass on the roof and one side, offering a panoramic view of the backyard and Swimming pool. The ground floor also included a spacious bar lounge, a dining area with a view of the backyard, and a kitchen connected by a walkway. The upper floor has the bedrooms with their respective bathrooms and additional spaces, a lobby and a pantry. Balconies on the first floor overlooked the backyard and provided ample space for outdoor activities.

The interior of the farmhouse is a captivating blend of elegance and comfort, meticulously crafted to create a space that is both luxurious and inviting. Every corner tells a story, with rich layers of textures, carefully curated furnishings, and thoughtful details. The seamless fusion of classic elements and contemporary accents creates a timeless aesthetic. Every inch of the space has been thoughtfully designed and is furnished with the finest pieces, carefully chosen to match the taste of the homeowner and complement the unique style of the home. The result is a warm and inviting home that oozes sophistication and charm.

The overall aesthetic of the building featured stone and glass façades, with louvres on the front elevation to provide privacy and block harsh sunlight. The muted colour palette of the house extended to the exterior and interior, with wood, glass, and grey granite materials blending harmoniously with the surroundings. The project successfully achieved its objectives of integrating architecture with nature, Providing ample natural light and ventilation, and creating a serene living environment. The glass house style and contemporary design elements contributed to the project's overall success.

The landscape surrounding the property underwent significant improvements, combining both hard and soft landscaping elements. Paved pathways were introduced for easy access within the site while existing patterns and textures were preserved. This pool area was realigned so that the rear garden could be consolidated. The gym and outhouse were strategically placed near the pool for privacy, and the entire landscape was designed to be climate-responsive and offer better privacy for the occupants.

The choice of materials both indoor and outdoor were made keeping the smallest ecological footprint in mind. Insulation of the facades ensured that the indoor spaces remain cool in even the hottest summers of New Delhi and also prevented heat loss during the severe winters in New Delhi. Shaded windows, semi covered trellis which would allow the landscape to engulf them eventually. The project is being evaluated presently to be conferred the Platinum rated, the highest grade of green building as per Indian Green building council.
