Spanning 2610 sq. ft. across two floors and housing two bedrooms, the farmhouse seamlessly extends into its landscape set in Ahmedabad. It unfolds as a journey from intimacy to openness. Despite a compact footprint- a key client requirement, the design is shaped by strategic spatial layering allowing privacy and shared life to coexist effortlessly. The material palette remains grounded and natural with lime plaster, Kota stone, exposed concrete and timber forming the core expression, while soft sage greens subtly bring nature indoors, ensuring tonal restraint is balanced through textural richness.

The built form unfolds as a gradual spatial revelation, beginning at the west façade, where a pedestrian entry under a pergola of terracotta and glass bricks sets the initial tone. Filtered sunlight casts warm, shifting shadows on textured surfaces, creating a sense of human scale before transitioning into the foyer, where the spatial volume begins to expand.
Inside, the space opens into a unified living, dining & kitchen space that flows outward to the deck, aligning with the infinity pool and sunken seating. The kitchen is envisioned as the heart of the home. A sculpted island, slightly elevated above the cantilevered dining level, creates natural zoning within the open plan. Above the staircase, a skylight washes the vertical shaft with daylight, connecting the horizon above to the tactile calm below.
The bedrooms embrace minimal sophistication & rusticity, with sculpted raw-edge furniture, natural wood & metal serving as primary elements. Gentle northern light enhances their calm, airy atmosphere. Rich textures across the home- from pebbled flooring in the changing room to multi-Kota laid on the deck and Bali-inspired stone tiles along the pool, anchor the design.
Structured as a unified geometric volume, the farmhouse derives its character from light, materiality and its dialogue with the surrounding landscape.
