The Jain Residence by Woodofa Interiors: A Dialogue Between Tradition and Contemporary Luxury

Perched high above Gurgaon’s skyline, The Jain Residence by Woodofa Interiors redefines what it means to live luxuriously yet meaningfully in the modern Indian context. Designed for two brothers who trace their roots to Banaras, the three-tier penthouse is an architectural symphony of tradition, technology, and timeless elegance. Under the creative direction of Interior Designers Shashank Jain, Arpit Jain, and Sangeeta Prusty, the home articulates a design philosophy that is deeply personal—where Vastu, emotion, and innovation flow together in seamless harmony.

At first glance, the penthouse commands attention through its grandeur, yet it is the subtleties that anchor it in Indian culture. The entryway, marked by a digitally locked CNC-cut main door, immediately sets the tone for precision and poise. The nameplate, inscribed “ऐक्यम” (Aikyam) meaning unity, captures the family’s ethos—a unifying spirit that extends throughout the home. The mandir area stands as the spiritual heart of the residence. Crafted in Corian and delicately backlit, it features 24 Jain symbols and the Namokar Mantra—a serene confluence of light, material, and meaning. Each element, from the suspended bells to the sculpted ceiling steps, reflects Woodofa’s refined ability to blend spirituality with minimalistic modern design.

Woodofa’s design narrative thrives on the idea of connection—between spaces, people, and moods. The kitchen, dressed in high-gloss acrylic finishes and outfitted with Siemens appliances, bridges efficiency and warmth. The island counter doubles as a social hub, while the adjoining double-height dining area, anchored by a ten-seater Italian marble table with rose-gold inlay, dramatizes the vertical volume with a sculptural Harold chandelier—a fine balance of function and flair. In the living areas, Woodofa channels quiet sophistication through custom-crafted metal partitions, Italian stone cladding, and subtle lighting layers. The formal and family lounges carry different energies—the former for refined gatherings, the latter for intimate moments—each narrating a story through texture, proportion, and mood.

Ascending the curved staircase, the design transitions into personalized zones reflecting individual identities. The sons’ room, guided by Vastu principles, is a meditative blue cocoon that merges form with purpose—functional study space, integrated storage, and modern geometry. The entertainment room, with its exposed rafters and industrial touches, celebrates creativity and leisure.
The mother’s suite introduces warmth and grace with veneer panelling and soft lighting, while the master bedroom of Mr. Amit Jain exudes modern indulgence through its curved wall details, walk-in wardrobe, and a spa-like bathroom lined with Black Marquina and Panda marble. The topmost level brims with vibrancy and repose. The daughter’s room breaks convention with soft greens, arched floral motifs, bay seating, and a rose-gold accented bath—embodying femininity without stereotype. Meanwhile, the second master suite for Mr. Mohit Jain channels understated opulence through layered lighting, rich textures, and a U-shaped walk-in closet that amplifies privacy and comfort.

The terrace lounge serves as the penthouse’s crowning jewel—a tranquil retreat complete with jacuzzi and deck flooring, making the skyline a backdrop of luxury. Behind its aesthetic poise, The Jain Residence is a marvel of technological finesse. Smart automation governs lighting, temperature, and curtains, while motorized systems and dimmable settings personalize comfort at a touch. The palette of Italian marbles, Grohe fittings, Jainsons lighting, Fanzart fans, and custom Harold chandeliers speaks to Woodofa’s obsession with detail and quality.

What truly sets this penthouse apart is Woodofa’s ability to weave Vastu compliance into a language of modern design without losing visual drama. Every color tone, every alignment, and every proportion contributes to a subtle sense of equilibrium—a home that breathes positivity and grounded opulence. In the end, The Jain Residence is not just a spatial experience—it is a living philosophy. A meditation on how Indian sensibilities and contemporary design can coexist to create homes that are not only beautiful but also deeply belonging.
