Techno Tower is a class A boutique office building in Noida, a fast developing city in the national capital region of India, on a 672 sq.m. site. Located in an urban infill setting, the project is designed to respond and contribute to established urban density patterns, connect to existing neighbourhood transit and circulation, and maximize developmental potential.
The project promotes the development of compact, pedestrian-oriented communities by maintaining the existing site density. Designed to accommodate 150 full-time employees, it is conveniently located just a minute’s walk from the mass transit rail system station, significantly reducing the on-site parking requirements.
On the rectilinear site, the building layout positions all vertical circulation elements (lifts, stairs) and ancillary services (toilets, utility shafts) along the periphery adjacent to the adjoining building. This move preserves a contiguous area for the core office space, lends itself to efficiencies in circulation area, and frees up the building envelope for the highly desirable access to daylight and views to the employees. The compact layout centralizes the utility shafts, significantly reducing piping lengths and construction costs, while also simplifying maintenance.
The design prioritizes expansive, uninterrupted office spaces, allowing for flexible layouts that can adapt to various tenant requirements. The column free office areas on all levels maximize usable space, fosters occupant satisfaction, making the building highly attractive in the competitive market.
The building's massing is crafted to showcase the structural framework rather than hide it. Utilizing a floating column technique, the expression of the building columns elegantly transforms the massing into a rhythmic composition. The columns and beams taper into fins that narrow into a 4-inch thickness on the facade. The fins serve multiple purposes: structural supports, sun shading devices, and striking visual elements that deliver a vibrant aesthetic to an evolving skyline. This distinctive visual expression of the structural elements creates a dynamic interplay of light and shadow, contributing to the building's identity and responds to its urban context.

To promote human health by encouraging physical activity, the building stair is strategically located along the building entry and expressed in the massing. As the occupants and visitors enter, they are greeted with an inviting stair that is difficult to resist. Stair goers are rewarded by extended landings, incredible views to the city scape, and opportunities to take a break or greet a friend.
