Nestled along the bustling SAS Nagar Mohali Punjab, this research laboratory interweaves art within the concept of the building derived using cubist geometry, a methodology being practiced by the SD Sharma Architects. The building form reflects the graphical geometry in the plan, with a 6 meter fire tender road circling the site. Considering the north, the building faces north west and south east, which is best according to this climate, and all the working areas are located in these directions. Visitors entering the laboratory are greeted by an eye-catching space that boasts multiple facilities, such as reception, a display of levels, core, sitting lounges, waiting areas and a variety of signage. In terms of materials, the building is framed with terracotta tiles and other flooring materials including granite, vitrified tiles and ceramic tiles.

The design places a great emphasis on the services as the backbone of the laboratory being arranged, protected, arranged and assembled in the corridors, while the laboratories have light from two sides at the very least. Equipments, cylinders, backup machinery and paraphernalia are kept in these corridors, which are easily accessible and maintainable. Architects have done this in order to free up the basement, which would otherwise be jam-packed with machines.

Besides carrying services, corridors are also a place to tap wet services. Every room has a different view. The lobby is further replete with two lifts and a simple staircase. There is an equal convenience for the client with the fire stairs because as are wide and have comfortable risers. The fire escapes, which are mandatory, are on both sides and the rescue area is also adequately provided.

The working areas are not restricted with the provision of this corridor with the calculated sections where light filters through the glazing under each corridor. The maintenance and management of services is independent and does not interfere with the clean and sterile environment inside.

By introducing a triangular porch into the plan, the form is suddenly broken and interrupted. The elegantly designed conference room, which accommodates fifty people, also acting as a porch breaks the square monotony.
