Contemporary design combined with modern aesthetics were the key elements for this project. MQA understands that the core of every hotel is its Grand lobby giving the guests a first impression of the hotel. Hence along with the progressive furniture the use of traditional Jali work gives the lobby a mix character of the old merging with the new modern materials. Elements such as the wooden rafters on the ceiling with veneer paneling adds warmth to the place. The traditional jali has been used as a special design feature throughout the project. It reflects in different forms either in wall paneling or as a feature in the ceiling.

The resort entrance exudes grandeur, luxury and promises to give a whole new experience to spend quality time with family, friends & companions as well as develop new social circles.

The exclusive spa area at The Fern Ecotel was conceived by keeping in mind the customer experience. It was more about the luxury and comfort that a person would feel when he would step in to this space. Several themes were discussed while designing but what we felt was a mix of rustic and minimalistic design would bring out a marvelous spa. The Spa is divided in to six different spaces the reception and waiting area the two separate gents and ladies spa areas with a common shower area, common toilet, treatment rooms, and the Jacuzzi space. The pieces of multi-tonal stone is used to clad this spa which gives the interiors a pixelated appearance and with imported natural marble for the Jacuzzi area to give a sense of luxury. The treatment rooms and the Jacuzzi area flooring is finished with wood flooring which give a lot of warmth to the space. All treatment rooms are very well planned with self containing steam room, shower and toilet. Bhavnagar being a three tier city in Gujarat and looking in to the background of the people who would use this spa we have kept the Gents and Ladies spa completely separate but with identical spaces and amenities. 

The restaurant design had to walk a fine line between comfort, honesty of materials, and a level of casualness, but still appeal to the average person who’s going out to hotspots all the time. The restaurant space is connected with a special buffet area. It makes use of many elements like wood, leather, lush landscaping at the entrance and natural stone. 

The layout of the Cafeteria was kept simple; it combined very well with the semi-open cafeteria and swimming pool around it. The minimalistic interiors has a tone on tone colour combination with a bright colored  highlighting wall which plays with the concept of a modern jaali. The Jalli concept has been thoroughly used throughout the hotel. The Library has been combined with a business center which has two nos. of meeting rooms and an internet surfing area. Comfortable bespoke design chairs with bright fabric highlight the interiors of the library. Decorative Light fixtures with a dimming option have been provided to control the ambience of the space. The furniture is finished with high end exclusive veneer sourced from Ahmadabad.

The Fern Bhavnagar was envisioned by the client as a one stop destination for all activities. It serves as an oasis for the city where they would get an ultimate lifestyle experience. Nestled between the picturesque Gaurishankar Lake on one side and a huge unpolluted Victoria forest on the other side the Iscon Club and Resort stands proud with the regal backdrop of the Sundarvas bungalow of erstwhile Bhavnagar Royalty. It’s  quite and serene surroundings make you believe that you are off to hill station for a vacation. 

The experience of entertainment and leisure will truly be memorable with multidimensional experiences to tickle your fancy. It has a Discotheque the very first in Bhavnagar which is designed in two levels. The lower level is more open and the upper level is more like a lounge. The best of the music system is used to give out the best sound experience. For a holistic health experience you have a full time gymnasium and Yoga center which can double up as a multi functional space for other dynamic health activities. The interiors have been kept very warm and soothing to relax the mind body and soul. The gymnasium is well equipped with the latest equipments & gym trainers who will help you to shape and tone your body. A never seen before card room has been designed with a complete different feel of material and lights. Taking inspiration from card rooms around the world this space brings together a whole new experience. The custom designed lights from Mumbai have a dimmable option which controls the complete ambience of the space.
