Overhead, onyx marble lamps cast a soft glow, complemented by a crystal chandelier from The White Teak Company, which adds a layer of grandeur. Minimal yet refined, this vestibule is more than just an entry- it’s a prelude to the home’s philosophy of blending simplicity with subtle opulence.
Dining
This contemporary dining space is a perfect balance of elegance and functionality. At its heart sits a striking marble-top table paired with sleek upholstered chairs, framed by muted wall mouldings and warm ambient lighting. A sculptural centrepiece, complemented by abstract artwork, lends an artistic edge to the setting.
A statement bevelled bronze mirror expands the visual depth of the room, while a custom curved crockery unit with seamless, handle-less access adds both sophistication and practicality. Adjacent to it, a modern bar unit with glass doors and concealed storage below is designed for effortless entertaining making the space as welcoming for everyday meals as it is for lively evenings with guests.
Living Room
The living room at Casa Sereno is crafted as a refined yet inviting space where comfort takes centre stage without compromising on elegance. Plush beige leather recliners anchor the seating arrangement, offering both style and ease, while a pair of floral accent chairs bring a soft pop of pattern, infusing freshness into the neutral palette.
The TV wall is designed as a layered composition — with a backdrop of rough-textured marble framed by warm veneer panelling and fluted storage niches. Open shelves with curated artefacts and integrated speakers not only enhance functionality but also add visual rhythm. The symmetry and detailing of the wall panelling further elevate the modern sophistication of the space. Opposite this, the sofa wall is accentuated with elegant moulding details that lend depth and a classic architectural character, subtly balancing the contemporary finishes. A circular marble-topped coffee table rests at the centre, styled minimally with indoor greenery that softens the contemporary lines. Wooden blinds dress the windows, adding warmth, texture, and a controlled play of light throughout the day. Between the recliners, a tall floor lamp lends a cozy evening glow, while the arched, veneer-finished entrance frames the room with understated drama.
Adding another layer of design finesse, the common wall between the corridor and the first guest bedroom was reimagined. It was partly demolished to create a dual-purpose element — on the living side, it appears as a smart combination of storage and open display shelves, while on the bedroom side it functions as a full wardrobe. This clever intervention allows the living room to subtly borrow depth and detail, with the shelving becoming an integrated feature of the space.

room strikes a perfect balance between serene comfort for everyday living and
graceful elegance for entertaining guests.
Mandir : From Utility to Divinity - A Sacred Transformation
Originally planned as a servant’s room, this space was re-envisioned into a serene mandir at the client’s request, aligned with Vastu principles. The transformation reflects both spiritual intent and design finesse - creating a sanctuary that radiates tranquillity while echoing the grandeur of traditional temples.
Discreetly tucked within the living room, the mandir is accessed through a camouflage door detailed with elegant mouldings that blends seamlessly with the surrounding wall panelling. This thoughtful design choice preserves the living room’s modern aesthetic while ensuring the sanctity of the prayer space is maintained.
To fulfil the client’s desire for an antique, stone-temple effect, the backdrop was clad in a custom wallpaper sourced from South India, featuring intricate temple-inspired motifs that recall the artistry of age-old black-stone shrines. Against this divine backdrop, polished brass idols of Lord Shiva, Goddess Lakshmi, and Lord Ganesha sit in quiet splendour, embodying both reverence and radiance.
Design precision extends to every element: a vertical laser-cut brass strip with floral motifs frames the central deity with symbolic grace, while sleek built-in drawers below provide hidden storage for puja essentials, ensuring purity and order in daily rituals. Soft, layered lighting enhances the golden sheen of the idols, enveloping the mandir in a calm, sacred glow. Positioned thoughtfully within the home, it acts as a pause point in the circulation- a moment of stillness that contrasts beautifully with the vibrancy of the adjoining living spaces. What was once a utilitarian room is now a soulful haven- a perfect blend of devotion, tradition, and understated luxury.
Daughter’s Room
A Reader’s Retreat, Designed with Heart
For the teenage daughter — an avid reader and a devoted BTS fan — her room was designed as a sanctuary that reflects her individuality, passions, and love for her pets. Nearly 1,500 books are displayed across open shelves and smart storage solutions, making it a true haven for a young book lover. Opposite the main bed, a compact daybed is framed by a custom niche for books above and discreet storage below, thoughtfully sized to hold her cherished violin. Above the daybed, BTS photo frames create a personal gallery wall — a constant reminder of her love for music and inspiration.
The main bed itself was designed with playful tunnels and peek-through
cutouts — a delightful feature for the family’s two cats, adopted during the
home’s creation. Scratch-proof wooden flooring ensures durability, while the
attached balcony has been reimagined as a mini gym for the cats to climb and
explore. Layered in tropical wallpaper, sage green laminates, earthy terracotta
accents, and floral sheer curtains paired with a matching bedcover, the room
balances freshness with warmth. Multiple seating nooks — from the study desk to
the window perch — invite quiet reading moments, while playful, personalized
details add charm and character. Functional, imaginative, and heartfelt, this
room captures the spirit of a teenager growing with her books, music,
Master Bedroom
A Warm Cocoon of Comfort & Class. Designed as a serene sanctuary, the master bedroom embodies elegance through layered textures and a timeless palette. Warm wooden flooring anchors the space, while an upholstered bed with an enveloping headboard offers softness and sophistication.
The feature wall behind, accented with curves, bronze mirrors, and rose-gold strips, lends depth and subtle glamour. A custom four-door wardrobe with a delicate petal motif marries function with finesse. The result: a restful retreat of calm elegance and quiet luxury.
