TIKIDAN launches AUDAL to India

TIKIDAN launches AUDAL to India, putting acoustic insulation at the heart of architecture and design
Under the global positioning ‘Mastering Acoustics’, AUDAL aims to make acoustic insulation an integral part of designing spaces that feel as good as they look

Mumbai, 4th September 2026: TIKIDAN, the longstanding joint venture between Tiki Tar Industries (India) and Danosa (Spain), has launched AUDAL by Danosa in India, a dedicated acoustic design brand created to bring greater focus to the role of sound in the built environment. Launched in Europe earlier this year under the positioning “Mastering Acoustics,” AUDAL is a standalone specialist brand built on Danosa’s over four decades of experience in acoustic insulation.
In
contemporary architecture and interior design, decisions around light, materials, textures, spatial flow and functionality are carefully considered from the outset. Sound, however, is often addressed only after a space is built and acoustic issues begin to affect its occupants. Noise from neighbouring spaces, footsteps, lift shafts, service ducts and other sources can impact privacy, comfort and the overall experience of a space, often making corrective solutions more expensive and disruptive.

As urban density increases and building typologies evolve, acoustic comfort is becoming an increasingly important part of the built environment. AUDAL aims to shift the conversation from treating acoustics as a technical requirement to considering it as a fundamental design decision, bringing acoustic insulation into the same conversation as architecture, materials and spatial planning.

AUDAL approaches acoustics as a complete solution system, working closely with architects and acoustic consultants to consider product, detailing and installation together. The approach is designed to support the creation of spaces that perform acoustically while remaining aligned with the architect’s design intent. This design-led philosophy is built around four core principles—Sophisticated, Magnetic, Innovative and Reliable, combining technical rigour with clarity and practical on-site performance.

To mark its India entry, TIKIDAN hosted an exclusive launch evening, “Mastering Acoustics – Designing Spaces That Sound Better", at Late Checkout, Mumbai. The event brought together a distinguished gathering of architects, designers and acoustic experts to explore the growing importance of acoustics in creating spaces that are comfortable, functional and experiential. The evening featured a panel discussion with leading voices from the architecture and acoustics community, including Priyush Mehra, Principal Architect-PS Design; Mr Sri Ram, Design Director- Sonics;  Rollins Thomas Roy, Founding Partner- Rollins Acoustics; and Parag Shah, Principal Partner- Alcove Design. The discussion focused on the importance of acoustic insulation and the need for closer collaboration between architects, acoustic engineers and material manufacturers to create spaces that not only look good but also feel good. The event was also attended by prominent members of the architecture and design fraternity, including Shantanu Garg of Shantanu Garg Designs; Zubin Master of Design Matrix Interiors; Huzefa Rangwala, Director, Muselab Design Engine; Rajiv and Ekta Parekh of Red Architects; Pallavi Shetty and Harsh Bhogani from Cross Boundaries.

Speaking about the launch, Ms Shruti Shah, Director, TIKIDAN, said, “We believe that the way a space sounds is an important part of the way it is experienced. Yet, acoustics is still too often considered only once a problem appears. With AUDAL, we want to work alongside architects and designers from the beginning, helping them make acoustic performance a conscious part of their design approach. The launch of AUDAL in India is not just about introducing a new brand; it is about starting a larger conversation around how we can create spaces that sound as considered as they look and feel.”

Unlike an extension of an existing product portfolio, AUDAL has been developed as a dedicated specialist brand for acoustic design in the built environment. Its approach draws on Danosa’s longstanding expertise in acoustic insulation while responding to the changing requirements of contemporary buildings and the growing emphasis on occupant experience, wellness, privacy and comfort.

The India launch comes at a time when residential, hospitality, commercial and workplace environments are increasingly being designed around the complete experience of their occupants. Through AUDAL, TIKIDAN aims to strengthen collaboration with architects, interior designers, developers, consultants and acousticians, while encouraging a more integrated approach to acoustic design.

With AUDAL, TIKIDAN further strengthens its acoustic insulation portfolio and brings Danosa’s international expertise to India, reinforcing its commitment to innovative building solutions that contribute to better-performing and more thoughtfully designed spaces.

About AUDAL
AUDAL is a specialised acoustic design brand, launched in Europe in 2026 under the positioning “Mastering Acoustics” by Danosa. Built on more than four decades of experience in acoustic insulation, AUDAL approaches acoustics as an integral part of the built environment, combining product solutions, detailing and installation to support the design and performance requirements of contemporary spaces. Beyond comfort, unwanted noise carries well-documented health consequences. Sustained exposure disrupts sleep, elevates stress levels, and has been linked to increased cardiovascular risk, while everyday noise intrusions can affect concentration and cognitive performance. As acoustic comfort gains recognition as a determinant of occupant wellbeing, AUDAL positions sound insulation as a foundational design consideration, not a technical afterthought addressed only once problems surface.
