“House of NAIK’S” is a residential interior project crafted with a vision of minimalism, restraint, and lovable elegance. Set within one of Vadodara’s premium developments, this 4B2HK apartment (4 bedrooms + 2 living spaces: formal and family dinning lounge) was designed for a family that values calm over clutter, timelessness over trends, and function over flash. With a spacious super built-up area of 3,000 sq. ft. and a carpet area of 2,450 sq. ft., the home gave us an open canvas to explore how minimalism can be made warm, functional, and deeply personal — all while staying within a remarkably efficient budget of ₹1,10,00,000.
The modular kitchen is one of the project's most functional highlights. Designed to maximize efficiency and movement, it features:
Built-in appliances with soft-close drawers and heavy-duty tandem boxes
Quartz countertop for durability and easy maintenance ,Open shelf nooks for easy access to everyday essentials
Overhead shutters in a push-to-open system to eliminate visual bulk , It serves as both a cooking zone and an everyday breakfast nook, thanks to the extended island with under-counter storage.

Design Philosophy — House of NAIK’S
At the heart of House of NAIK’S lies a simple yet powerful idea: “Traditional but better.” A quiet celebration of heritage reimagined through the lens of modern minimalism, the design consciously steps away from overt ornamentation and instead embraces light, flow, and material honesty.
This home isn’t about emptiness—it’s about space that breathes. Each element is curated to evoke a sense of calm, where form follows feeling, and function meets elegance. The spaces are grounded yet open, luxurious yet restrained, designed to support the rhythm of daily life with quiet dignity.
Every corner reflects the family’s desire for a lifestyle rooted in simplicity and timelessness. Rather than treating the home as a collection of rooms, we approached it as an emotional landscape—one that would age gracefully, nourish well-being, and offer comfort in its thoughtful restraint.
The result is a home that feels intimate, intentional, and enduring—a modern narrative woven with traditional wisdom.

The home opens into a formal lounge that instantly sets the tone — a space with calming hues, soft textures, and controlled detailing. This leads naturally to the family lounge, a more intimate area for casual gatherings. The open-plan kitchen and dining create a fluid movement across the common zone, encouraging interaction while maintaining visual clarity.
Each of the four bedrooms is designed with individual character but follows the same language of restraint and purpose. The primary bedroom is a sanctuary in itself — soft textures, subtle lighting, and layers of warm wood create a restful environment. The guest bedroom and children’s room are flexible and functional, with built-in storage and timeless finishes that allow for adaptability over time.
Two large living zones allow the family to entertain formally while enjoying every day casual life separately — an important function in urban apartment living, especially for large families.

What truly defines House of NAIR’s is its carefully curated material palette. We intentionally avoided flashy or overly decorative surfaces in favour of honest, tactile materials that create a grounded and enduring aesthetic.
Walls are finished in soft lime textures, giving the surfaces a subtle depth and handcrafted warmth.
Flooring is kept uniform in natural-toned large-format Italian marble, lending spatial continuity.
Furniture finishes are dominated by light wood laminates and oak veneers, paired with matte black accents and clean silhouettes.
Storage units are seamlessly integrated into walls with concealed handles, clean shutters, and neutral facades to maintain spatial calm.
The colour palette leans into warm neutrals — soft white, stone grey, putty beige, and wood grain — allowing natural light to reflect beautifully and ensuring the home feels fresh yet timeless across seasons and years.
