Mr Jamshyd N Godrej,
Chairman & Managing Director, Godrej & Boyce, who has been long a vocal
proponent of sustainable business says, “Climate crisis is here, and we need
to act now. The only way to do this is as a collective force. It’s important
for every individual, corporation and government body to think and act towards
scalable initiatives that are necessary to foster a more sustainable future”.
Nyrika Holkar, Executive Director, Godrej &
Boyce, comments on the
platform, "Our thoughts and actions have an impact on ourselves, our
families, the community and the planet. This power can be multiplied manifold
if it can be harnessed ‘Collectively’. By taking sustainable living beyond
boardrooms and into the community of professionals, we can collaborate to
re-imagine our cities and start a new era of design-led sustainable innovations".
As an organisation that has always
been at the forefront of partnering with academia to build a more self-reliant
nation, Godrej & Boyce has collaborated with students once more to present
unique installations that showcase the need for immediate action against
climate through the lens of students. The Design Village College and ISDI
School of Innovation and Design students have created unique installations that
provoke conversations around interconnectedness, well-being, and climate change.
The event has garnered an overwhelming response from citizens with high registrations recorded. Attendees experienced thought-provoking installations by sustainable and design-led partners such as Anuvad, Carbon Craft, Phool.co, Cancelled Plans, Bombay Imagined, and more. Further renowned artists like Sajid Wajid Sheikh and Asim Sheikh presented their art that were based on conscious communities, materials and the future. Conscious Collective featured diverse installations, masterclasses, workshops, sound therapy sessions, nature trails for kids as well as musical and culinary experiences and promises to be a pathway to a more conscious future.
